Enjoy a three-day long music fest at Tyber Creek Pub's Creek Fest. Ten local bands and DJs will perform. Check out the full schedule here. Take the light rail down to the East/West Station and walk two blocks down South Blvd.
Saturday:
Immerse yourself in arts and music at the Bridge Fest held at The Bridge in NoDa, a pilot creative arts lab. You'll be able to create art, play instruments and catch a few performances. Saturday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.. Ride the light rail to Sugar Creek and walk one block over to Raleigh Street.
Taste authentic Latin American food and drinks, learn how to Zumba, and catch a variety of performances at the Hola Charlotte Festival this Saturday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event spans several blocks in Uptown Charlotte on Tryon St. Get off at 3rd/Convention Center station and walk two blocks up to Tryon.
Head back to campus to enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine, music, dancing, and henna art from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m on Saturday at the Arab American Festival.
Sunday:
Explore all that First Ward has to offer with the Block Party hosted by 7th Street Public Market. You'll be able to swing through some sidewalk sales, get half off admission at the Levine Museum of the New South, cuddle adoptable puppies and even enjoy a BOGO at Lucky's Bar and Arcade, where you can buy one token cup, get one free. Hop off the light rail at 7th Street Station and you'll immediately be in the heart of it all.

Saturday and Sunday:
Enjoy two days of fun at the Festival of India, where you can see Bollywood and classical Indian dance styles, dine on popular Indian dishes, and get Henna tattoos. $6 tickets online, $7 at the festival. Use the Charlotte Transportation Center stop and walk up to the Belk Theatre.
