Parking and Niner Transit Plan for Commencement

To accommodate expected parking demand for Commencement, the following parking areas will be CLOSED for faculty, staff and students who are not attending Commencement from 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, through 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec 13:

• Cone Decks 1 and 2
• West Deck
• Lot 7
• Lot 7A
• SAC ADA Lot
• SAC North

• East Deck 1
• East Deck 2 or 3
• South Village Deck
• Or ride the light rail (information below)

• On Friday, Dec. 13, regular Niner Transit service will change to Commencement shuttle service only from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Niner Transit service will then resume with two Silver and two Green route buses until midnight.

• On Saturday, Dec. 14, Niner Transit will provide Commencement shuttle service from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. During this time, bus service will only be available from East Deck and UNC Charlotte Main Station to the Popp Martin Student Union. Niner Transit service will resume service at 7:30 p.m. with two Silver route buses and two Green route buses operating until midnight.

• Craver Road will be closed on Friday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Please visit pats.uncc.edu for changes in traffic pattern.

• Light Rail: Bus service will be available from the UNCC Main Station to Craver Road. Anyone without a CATS all-access transit pass may purchase a single ticket through the CATS mobile app or any train station kiosk. Standard CATS rates apply.
