 Honor one of the most important people in American history, Martin Luther King Jr., and watch bands, drill teams, and more march through Uptown. The parade will march down Tryon Street, beginning at 9th Street and ending at Stonewall Street. More than 90 community organizations, marching bands, floats and dance performers will participate.

  • Take light rail to 9th, 7th or CTC/Arena station; walk two blocks north to N. Tryon St.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Celebration

Levine Museum of the New South

Reflect on the impact of Dr. King’s legacy and take part in a celebration that includes music, drummers, children’s story time, a theater performance, arts and crafts, and much more! Admission, exhibits and parking are all FREE

  • Light rail to 7th Street Station; walk one block north to Levine Museum at corner of 7th and College.
