  • Calling all comic nerds (in a nice way). This event features vintage comic dealers and some comic creators. 
  • $5 adults, free for ages 18 and under. Details.

6 Year Anniversary and $5 Pizza Buffet at The Pizza Peel Plaza Midwood, 1600 Central Ave

Here's an opportunity to further explore Charlotte using the CATS All Access Transit pass that resides on your 49er ID Card. Take both light rail and CATS buses to get around. Put your loose pants  on, because $5 grants you access to all-you-can-eat cheese and pepperoni pizza. Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

14523 Carowinds Blvd. • Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The amusement park is looking to fill 4,000 seasonal and part-time positions, including admissions, aquatics, food and beverage, security, merchandise, games, park services, and ride operations departments.  Free. Details.

  • Take light rail all the way through Charlotte until the termination station at I-485/Pineville; 
  • Connect to bus Rt. 42 Outbound, 9 stops to Carowinds Blvd. & Avenue of the Carolinas;
  • Walk .2 miles (about 3 minutes) to 14523 Carowinds Blvd.
