Did you know that one in three college students experience food insecurity?
You can help a fellow Niner combat food insecurity by donating up to two meal swipes during Swipe Out Hunger from April 27 to April 29.
Donate online through the Niner Diners Mobile Ordering app or in person at SoVi:
- To donate on the app: Select Swipe Out Hunger in the Seasonal Specials section, click Swipe Donation and check out. Only one swipe may be donated per transaction, but please consider donating two swipes through two separate transactions.
- To donate in person: Visit the Swipe Out Hunger table at the entrance of SoVi on April 27, 28 or 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
If you have a block plan, you can check your meal plan balance online. If you have The Daily Plan, you will need to wait at least 15 minutes before or after your last personal meal swipe has been used.
Donated meal swipes will be provided to students in need during the fall 2021 semester. If you are experiencing food insecurity, you can request meal swipes through Student Assistance and Support Services by calling 704-687-0289 and scheduling an appointment.
